Sequence of Events

Initial opening sequences sets the expectations of what we will percieve from the tribe.
The Tribe: Unamed as of yet
Location: Bristol, England
Socially:
The tribe has evolved over the years with members coming and going throughout their time at university. The tribe has envolved a chief through someone who is a natural leader and a shaman who is proficeintly knowledged in the rituals of student life and remedies to cure hangovers and the like.
Social interests other then a meagre amount of work at university include football computer games, generally socialising and drinking.
The tribe is settled but frequently indulges in hunter gatherering to suppliment their lack of funds.
Demographics:
A history:
The tribe has been formed for longer then anyone can remember and is quite A major incident happened many years before (unspecified how long before) which was the student protests which happened  which affected their way of life.None of the students are passionate about politics (reflecting our social group in real life) but it never the less had a profound effect on their tribe. This shall be discussed in a scene.

Walking to the tribe.
As a convention of Bruce Parry's travels we see shots of him his crew and porters walking through the expanse to get through to the village, many of the scenes locations. I have shot photos of in the previous page.
We have establishing shots of teh area as in the program (see location shooting), depicting the solitude of the area (which is far from what the place actually is).
Shots of feet walking through undergrowth
Low angle shots of the film crew walking through the expanse again, another tribe convention.
Meeting Chris the tribe memeber who act as the translator. This will break down the langauge barrier presented by the tribe.
The crew will be seen walking down the stairs to the main part of the village ( courtyard at the back of our houses) . We see members of the tribe approaching curiously.
Walk in to chieftans house
Narrative to over these shots (drawing from what i have talked about above and wording Bruce's intro to fit the scene.
Meeting the chieftan
Walk into house (low angle medium)
Shots of chattering villagers
Low angle shot of Adam the chieftan-who wears some distinctive clothing to mark him seperately
Dialogue adapted from the introduction of tribe
Low angle shots throughout interview alternating between Finian and Adam and the crowd that has gathered.
Finian: "My aim is not to be treated by you guys as a tourist but to be a memeber of the community so if there is work to do i'd like you to make me work as a memeber of the community.
And finally so i can understand a little bit about how you see the world i am especially interested in the ritualistic side of your life and if i ask many questions i hope that is okay"
Adam: "If you want to know about our rituals and way of life then you are welcome to stay with us and engage in our rituals, and we will teach you our ways"
Exchange of gifts, Finian presents beer and tobacco, which the chieftan stands up too and drinks
Adam presents trainers and a hoody (UWE??)

Initial tastes of tribe life
After meeting Finian is shown where he is staying by his adopted family-a sofa and a sleeping bag.Mis-en-scene is a grotty student living room
Reflection on the day improvised but talking about expectations and feelings about the day. MCU
Next day awakenedby Chris who offers him tiast and explains that they will look for supplies and food for the next few days.
Food Hunt-structure to be improvised
F: One of the main problems your people encounters is a lack of finance, and with little income you are quite reliable on your resourcefulness and skills in gaining nutrition.
CW: This is true everyday is a struggle to keep some kind of sustance for the tribe, its hard as i see otehr people eating gourmet meals whilst we scrounge together food for a pot noodle.
F: Well i shall eat and gather with the rest of you i will try and work as hard as i can so we can eat as well as possible
CW: Easier said then done mate! Today is a day we will gather food, of course we wish to eat well but we can only tell on the day whether the fruits of our gatehring will be plentiful or not
FV: When it comes down to nutrition do you find it affects your health in anyway?
ATYes poor nutrition lowers our immune system considerably. We always suffer from freshers flu which can have devastating effects on our community. If one person falls ill then the whole house will suffer as a result so we rely on the shaman to guide us to good health.
L.S Walking off with tribe to gather food. Shots of scavenging on ground. Narrative over this.
"The first means of substance is to search the grounds for anything that may be of value, richer tribes of students discard their money which holds lesser worth so on a good run the search may yield enough to buy supplies for the whole village."
Whilst working shots L.S and C.U of work
F: When is the best time to do this work, i meanheir must be only so much money dropped
CW: Usually as saturday morning, we find students drinking the night before are frequently careless with their money which is a great assest to our search.
Reflects to camera about the back breaking work that the job is whilst working.
At the end of the day i've only found 67 pence enough to feed two of the tribe members.
CW: gathers gatherers counting and poolong in their finds mumbling and c.u of concerned faces
"Today we have amounted £15.89 nice effort team"
Shot of the two walking back
F: "So a fair amount to gain today"
CW: Yes today was made a consdierable success by the finding of a 5er on the floor, which is a rareity. One finds those with money are careless especailly under the influence of alcohol.
FV: Your community receives a tri annual income of student loan, what happens to this money?"
CW: Well most of it goes onto keeping the land we live on, we have to appease those who actually own the land first of all these landlords take almost everything. The rest, well its depends one usually finds that the women spend their money on a shopping trip and the men of thr tribe have spent their money on the women.
FV: To camera. I really feel helpless in this situationtowards helping their plight, it seems that these landslords leech as much money as they can to let these students live on the plot of land they do with little support in keeping the hosuing up to date, so this obviously has a backlash in how the tribe provides for itself"
Voice over or CW: Last but not least the food cafeterias here chuck out alot of food so we will find what we can in the bins"
Bins being opened.Rumaging through bins finds some chicken? Immediately passed around the members
CW: "We as the gatherers get first pic, but we bring back enough for the rest"
Finian eats some chicken looks in disgust to the camera
FV "This is well out of date, do you not get constantly ill"?
"We are used to it, and our shaman will help us when we are ill. Bad food builds charecter"
Narrative: As for gathering food we have enough to buy supplies for the tribe for a few days now. Chris will now distribute what has been gained fairly. I will be eating with him tonight.

Preperation of pot noodle.
CW: "Tommorrow i will be taking you to meet our shaman he deals with many aspects of our life and is an intergral part of life."
FV: Reflection to camera In bed the pot noodle was not really to my tastes to be honest, and a month on such a diet i am sure will take its toll on me. I am feeling quite envious of my crew eating good food in their camp at the moment.
